
Energy Project Development Lead
Ken Winship, PE, CEM
Ken is a Project Development Lead focusing on energy consulting projects. He has 17 years’ experience working for an international consulting engineering firm and energy services company, in leadership roles including program management, project management, and engineering for design and design-build projects for government and commercial clients.
Ken is recognized for his strong leadership, ability to meet challenging customer requirements, and work in the performance contracting and design/build industry which includes accelerated schedules and negotiating customer project expectations. His day to day activities include all phases of a project lifecycle including business development and a customer-facing role, proposal development, project planning, design, execution and closeout. He has managed the workload and professional development of junior mechanical engineers as well as multi-office inter-disciplinary teams on individual projects. His technical competencies include HVAC, CHP, renewable energy, and building automation systems.
Specific accomplishments include:
• Feasibility studies for the implementation of clean and renewable technologies including solar, geothermal, and CHP.
• Development of utility TOU rate schedule models to optimize value of CHP, solar, and battery and energy storage projects.
• Developed training materials and taught classes to other energy professionals; presenter at national energy conferences.
